• The Route of the Oil
  The so called Route of the Oil is one of these proposals. The Garrigues, the Urgell and the Segrià have the honour of possessing the Protected Designation of Origin of the oil they produced, considered one of the best in the world. The austere environment, with an special charm, is the perfect scenery to take a walk, and be able to buy the delicious and healthy oil, while visiting some of the interesting points of the zone, such as the museums and thematic parks, the castles of La Espluga Calba and La Floresta, or the rock paintings of the Cogul.
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
  
• The Romanesque Routes
  Taking advantage of the Romanesque tradition of the Surroundings of Montsonís, from Cal Valeri, visitors can get into an interesting journey to the churches and hermitages of the zone. One of the so called Romanesque Routes proposes to start the itinerary at the capital of Lleida, where the Romanesque is present in many of the most characteristic buildings, such as La Seu Vella and the church of Sant Llorenç.
  
  The route continues to the city of Balaguer. Before arriving, we find the monastery of the Cistercian monks of Santa Maria de les Franqueses. In the direction of Camarasa, we can see the ruins of a majestic Romanesque church with a mighty apse, and the remains of a Romanesque bridge over the Segre called "Roman bridge". In the Baronía de Sant Oïsme, we find a vigilance tower with cylindrical shape, and a small church with triple apse. We turn aside in Àger to look at la Colegiata de Sant Pere, were the splendid apse and the campanile are preserved.
